Product Trio Playbook

2026

Nintex (globally distributed Agentic AI SaaS company)

As Nintex modernized its approach to product development, the company needed a way to align its Product, Engineering, and Design teams — collectively known as the "product trio" — around a redefined, standardized playbook for how features were built and shipped. With team members spread across time zones, geographies, and cultures, there was no scalable, consistent way for new or existing employees in these functions to get up to speed on Nintex's specific frameworks, expectations, and ways of working. The Principal Technical Business Analyst brought the need to the Head of Talent Development, who tapped me to lead the project based on my ability to quickly absorb complex subject matter and translate it into effective learning experiences.

What I did

Partnering closely with the Principal Technical Business Analyst, I started by getting a thorough understanding of the playbook's goals, the gaps it was meant to close, and what success would look like. I then designed a modular, self-guided eLearning course broken into digestible pieces, covering the distinct responsibilities of each product trio role (Product Manager, Engineering Lead, and Design Lead), how those roles intersected throughout the feature development lifecycle, and the range of frameworks and philosophies Nintex recommended while leaving room for individual judgment. To make abstract concepts concrete, I incorporated visual diagrams illustrating key processes and workflows, and built in quizzes and interactive elements throughout to keep learners actively engaged rather than passively reading. I also embedded links to external resources for employees who wanted to go deeper on specific frameworks, such as product prioritization methodologies.

Impact

The course became the go-to onboarding and alignment resource for Product, Engineering, and Design employees across the entire organization, giving the product trio a shared language and a clear, consistent understanding of how Nintex builds and ships products. By making the course open to all employees, it also created broader organizational transparency around the product development process. The result supported Nintex's broader initiative to modernize how it operates, equipping teams with the clarity and confidence to execute against a unified playbook regardless of where in the world they were working from.
